The
Miss Muffet Shoppe, in Normandy Square 5122 E. 2nd Street in
Belmont Shore, Long Beach is where it first opened its doors
January 22, 1947.
Since that time, the shop had
earned fame and financial success for its owners, Helen M.
Murphy and her daughter, Selena.
After five years of catering to
small fry from one to six years of age, in the Shore, the
shop was moved to Corona del mar, where it was enlarged four
times in the years that followed.
